Breakfasts:Served from 0730 hours to 0900 hours. Our breakfasts include 1) the cooked option: bacon, eggs, tomato, toast with homemade jams, tea/coffee 2) the health buffet of cereals, fresh organic milk from our own Jersey cows, homemade yoghurt made from our own Jersey cows’ milk, homebaked bread, delicious homemade jams, fresh fruit in season, tea and coffee or 3) a combination of both cooked and health buffet. We also sometimes provide homemade butter for breakfast when we have sufficient cream.
Packed Lunches: can be ordered the night before and include 1 sandwich on brown bread with a choice of fillings of cheese, egg / tuna mayonnaise, or ham as well as a piece of fruit, a slice of home baked cake, nuts and raisins, chocolate and a fruit juice.
Light Lunches: can be ordered off the menu any time and include toasted sandwiches, pancakes and our specialities and locally made cheese platter.
Mid morning and afternoon teas: offering chocolate cake served with our own farm fresh cream, scones with homemade jam and cream, Dutch apple pie, Fair Trade Filter coffee and Cappuccinos, large variety of organic teas, novel creamy milkshakes made from farm milk and homemade ice-cream, soft drinks. Weekend specials.
Dinners: Please note that dinner is served to guests who have already pre-booked to minimise the wastage of food, so please ensure that you pre book if you wish to have dinner on the night of your arrival. Dinner is a two course meal and served at 6.30 pm. We do offer traditional Zulu meals once a week as these have proved popular. The meals are simple home-cooked fare. There is a good value menu on offer at the café restaurant for guests who would like food until 5pm.
